Technical Requirements for Our Learning Platform

Before you start your financial education journey with us, let's make sure your setup is ready. We've built our platform to work smoothly on most modern devices — but there are a few things worth checking.

Programs begin in mid-2026. Getting your tech sorted now means you'll hit the ground running.

Modern learning environment with computer setup

What You'll Need to Get Started

Device Requirements

Our platform works best on laptops and desktop computers. You can access some materials on tablets, but for the full learning experience — especially when working with spreadsheets and financial tools — a proper computer makes life easier.

  • Laptop or desktop running Windows 10 or later, macOS 10.14 or newer, or a recent Linux distribution
  • At least 8GB of RAM for smooth multitasking between lessons and practice tools
  • Minimum 128GB storage space to download course materials and software
  • Screen resolution of 1366x768 or higher so everything displays properly

Internet Connection

Most of our content streams live or loads interactively. A stable connection matters more than raw speed, honestly. We've tested everything on standard Australian broadband and it works fine.

  • Minimum 10 Mbps download speed for video content without buffering
  • Reliable connection during live sessions — mobile hotspots can work but aren't ideal
  • Some materials can be downloaded for offline review if you're worried about connectivity

Browser and Software

We're not picky about browsers. Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge — they all work. Just keep them updated. And you'll need a spreadsheet program for financial exercises.

  • Current version of Chrome, Firefox, Safari, or Edge with JavaScript enabled
  • Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, or LibreOffice Calc for financial modeling work
  • PDF reader for course handouts and resources
  • Optional but helpful: note-taking software like Notion, Evernote, or OneNote

Real talk: While you can technically access parts of the program on phones and tablets, your learning experience will be much better on a computer. Financial spreadsheets on a phone screen? Not fun. Trust us on this one.

Software We Use Throughout the Program

Financial Modeling Tools

We spend a lot of time in spreadsheets because that's where real financial planning happens. You don't need fancy paid software — Google Sheets works perfectly fine and it's free. If you prefer Excel, that's great too.

You'll build budgets, track expenses, and create projections. We provide templates, but part of learning is customizing them for your situation.

Video Conferencing Platform

Our live sessions run through Zoom. You'll need to download the app before your first class. It's straightforward — takes about five minutes to set up.

Make sure your microphone and camera work. We encourage video participation because it helps build community, though you can turn it off if needed.

Learning Management System

All your course materials live in our custom platform. Think of it like a private website just for our students. You'll get login details after enrollment.

The interface is clean and simple. Video lessons, reading materials, discussion boards, assignment submissions — everything in one place. Works on any modern browser without plugins.
